Tari is a small town in the Southern Highlands province of PNG (a province is like what we call a state in Australia. Eg. Tasmania is a state of Australia = Southern Highlands is a province of PNG). The PNG part of the Tassie Tiger Hunt will probably begin in Tari but may also begin in the nearby town of Komo. I don't know much about Tari or the area so if you do, let me know!

I'll post more information as I do more research over the coming months.

The research I said I'd do hasn't uncovered much info! The plan is still to fly to Tari from Port Moresby and hire a couple of local guides to take us down the jungle tracks to the Strickland River. I say 'us' because Cheyne Benjamin is now coming with me for the PNG half of the expedition. He's a young documentary film-maker who will be lugging a camera around for the month. Getting excited!
