Kakadu National Park

Kakadu National Park is located 250 Kilometers, south east of Darwin along the Arnhem highway. The size of Kakuda National Park is 86,000 hectares. That's about 19,000 Square meters.
By road it will take about 3 hours travelling time from Darwin. It has rugged mountains with many walking tracks and waterfalls. It has accommodation and camp sites so you can camp when ever you want and when ever you want to. Over 2000 visitors visit Kakadu National Park every year.
The most famous species found in the national park is the salt water crocodile. Kakadu national park has received two national heritage listings.

Native Animals of the NT

One of the native animals is the red kangaroo, they usually grow up to about 1.4 meters and way up to about 85 kg. Another one is the emu, they can grow up to 2 meters in height and can run up to about 50km an hour.
The fat tailed antechinus grows up to about 10.5cm in length and its tail is about 7.5cm long and weighs up to about 25kg. The blue tongued skink it can have up to 12 babies and grows up to about 60cm.
